Yesterday, our longtime collaborator, Northwestern University Professor & Researcher Dr. Teresa Woodruff was recognized by President Obama. This particular honor is for the work she has done for mentoring urban minority high-school girls for [...]

The Northwestern University Global Opportunities site got some minor upgrades this morning.  When using the search a user will now get a ‘tooltip’ pop-up alerting them that they are searching the Program database and giving them a link to the People Directory. I have just implemented a dynamic QR code generator using the Google Charts API.  Now each of our blog posts will have a QR code permalink! If you would like to implement this, here is what I added to the WordPress loop:  (requires Slimbox-2 plugin) QR Permalink: <a href=’http://chart.apis.google.com/chart?cht=qr&chs=500×500&chl=<?php echo get_permalink();?>&chld=H|0′ rel="lightbox-<?php echo $post->ID; ?>"><img [...]

This morning Matt Mcrory gave Harlan, Jon, Rodolfo and me a demo of the new tiled wall display over at Silverman Hall.  We had done some photography of Silverman during it’s construction, so it was interesting getting to see the building with people in it working and especially getting to see the tiled display wall.
